God’s Word teaches us how to wisely set ministry priorities as we move toward others in love. We can serve them well by being present, listening long and carefully, asking the right questions, and acknowledging their pain as we allow them to lament. At the same time, we must be careful not to emphasize any one of these three categories (saints, sufferers, sinners) over the others in our care for people.
